HRFTA began when a small group of food truck owners saw a need for an association of like minded entrepreneurs to share best practices, exchange ideas and grow the industry. After that initial meeting, a steering committee was formed to explore creating a group that would support owners, burgeoning chefs and local foodies in the quest for new ideas in food.

A couple of months later, a Code of Ethics was created, By-Laws and with a simple vote of confidence, HRFTA was formed. Monthly meetings are held and membership is open to all food trucks, carts, pop-ups and well, any foodie willing to adhere to our code of ethics and share in our love of food and community.
