Soul food mainly such as fried chicken, turkey wings, pot roast, mac and cheese, pasta, cabbage etc. We also do Hibachi, curry chicken, fish sandwiches, tacos, crab cake eggrolls, smoked sausages and all kinds of desserts.
Where are you based and what cities are you permitted?
I am based in Portsmouth, but have permits in Newport News, Suffolk, Virginia Beach and Chesapeake

What did you do before you owned a food truck?
I am currently an HR Director for a government contractor and I catered and did event planning on the side
What do you like most about having a food truck?
Meeting new people
Where did the name of your food truck come from?
I cook for my family and family and friends a lot and they will always say you really can cook. So after a while I started catering for their friends and the feed back would be she can cook and it stuck with me. They couldn’t believe that I could cook, I guess because I like to dress up and wear heels. I a lot of people would say “you don’t look like you can cook” and my family response to them will be “oh she can cook”.
Why did you decide to join HRFTA?
I heard a lot about you all from different business associates and fire marshalls
Why did you decide to open a food truck/get into the food truck business?
I want to have the option to travel to more than one city so I can get my name out there.
